...For Mona, the world of design is centred around color. No matter what vehicle her design skills boarded, they all head straight down the color highway. An eight-year stint at her own interior design triggered a desire for both, formal training as well broader horizons and took Mona to the US. Here she studied Graphic and Interactive communication at Northern Virginia Communication College, where she received a Double Associates. She later completed a BFA at the prestigious Ringling School of Art & Design in Sarasota, Florida.
The red of the Big Apple beckoned after her studies and Mona embarked on her graphic design career with a stint with Finelight. Soon, though, the multi-colored magic of her homeland, pulled at her strings and she found herself back in India leading the Communication Design Team for international firm Philips Design, where she was the art director for billions of Indians. Currently, Mona undertakes both turnkey and retainership projects for various companies, and is also a design consultant for Genesis Burson-Marsteller, a leading Public Relations agency.
When Mona isn't at work, she’s dancing - Salsa for preference - or conversing with friends over intimate dinners. As the lead for a motivation team, her zeal for life comes across in every aspect of her life. An openness to varying cultures and fresh influences brings an eclectic touch to her work.
She's passionate about fulfilling her dreams and this is what drives her in life and at work. Mona currently resides in New Delhi, India, running her own studio called JustColours, but who knows where she may land next on her future endeavours...
